What the heck is a Scottland?

Scottland is a nick name that was given to me 15 years ago by some dear friends. Its stuck. Its not a name as much as it is a lifestyle, a presence, a being. I'm the scottland, irreverant, precocious, caring, kind, fiercly loyal, dynamic and a jackass... depending on the situation or my mood...

What's the Scottland Done?

I've successfully run a restaurant, a computer consutancy, a new product development team, a purchasing department, a race team, computer networks, auto restoration... Heck, I'll try anything!

I'm a graduate of Sonoma State University in the wine country of Northern California.

Whats up with the Scottland?

Lets see, From a professional standpoint, I'm the Operations Manager for the greatest software company on Earth - NetAspects, Inc. Our Flagship Product, Atlas, is an incredible hybridization or softwares to provide the ultimate in client interaction management and productivity to the Real Estate broker and Agent. check it out! netaspects.com

On the hobby side, I'm a lazy geek. I'll figure anything out - software, car, computer, electronic gizmo, puzzle, whatever, but only if I need to or care. Mostly I'm just lazy.

The big thing right now would be that I'm de facto team director for an amateur road racing team owned and founded by my brother Marcus... We're Miller-Motorsports.com. Come check us out! Join the mailing List! come out to an event in Northern California! Or even better, bring your own car out and run it at an education event. Its the most fun you can have in a car with your clothes on!

And then there's the internet. I glomed onto the internet back in like 92 before the graphical internet took off. I've founded, moderated and participated in some of the greatest forums, usenet groups and mailing lists on the web. Currently I'm a moderator on the largest Lincoln Mark Viii web forum, markviii.org. I'm also a founding member of the Golden Gate Mark Viii club. I've also maintain my own little Mark Viii website at norcalmarks.com. You'll also find me at the rx7 club, contour.org, tundra solutions, modular depot, sccaforums, improved touring, and more...

In addition to lazily disassembling things (and usually putting them back together) I am into car repair and restoration, including classics as well as modern. I'm also an avid motorcyclist, riding 3-5 times a week. My current rides include a 96 Triumph Trophy, a 95 Lincoln Mark Viii, and a long term project - a 66 tbird. I'm also into a bunch of different forms of road and open wheel racing - Formula 1, and ALMS primarily.

Some of my other Accomplishments include having a small but great group of core friends who I've changed over time, but all remain signifgant.

Brian A., Jason G., Ray M., Celia, Cecilia M., Erin N, Nicki H., Jim S., Jeremy C., John S., Rory R.(rip), Dan B., Danielle T.

You guys kick ass.
